89 of 94 people found the following review helpful Love the Cyberbike game and perfect for Mario Kart, By Egyud (NYC) - See all my reviews = Fun: This review is from: Cyberbike Magnetic Edition (Video Game) I love it. I have been waiting for this for years. I am not a gamer (my kids are) but I have enjoyed the WiiFit type of games. Fortunately for me the US release date fell just before my birthday and my family made sure I got one.The bike itself is a pretty good one. You can adjust the tension. The game itself will not change the tension during play but there are times when you have to peddle much faster to get yourself out of certain situations. You can get quite a good workout with the included game. One strange thing about the game is that it seems to have been designed for the Cyberbike, but when you set up the game you have to choose between using a Wiimote or a Gamecube controller. If you're using the Cyberbike you have to choose Gamecube controller. Just before each game it gives you instructions as to what buttons to use for each action. These are only instructions for the standard Gamecube controller. It tells you to use the C-Stick to move forward. Well, if you're on... United States) - See all my reviews = Fun: This review is from: Cyberbike Magnetic Edition (Video Game) PROS:1.) As an exercise bike/game simulator combo, the Cyberbike is great for the price. 2.) While some have complained about the low-level of resistance on the pedal settings, I prefer it with low to zero-resistance which is healthier on the knees. 3.) The seat is better than the average bike seat that comes on your average store-bought bicycle. 4.) The game that comes with the Cyberbike is actually not that bad. 5.) BEST THING ABOUT IT: Works perfectly with old GameCube games. I bought a bunch of racing/flying games used off amazon and they are AWESOME: Crazy Taxi, Extreme G3, F-Zero GX, Wave Race: Blue Storm. HINT - There is a little switch on the CyberBike that switches the controls from CyberBike to GameCube. You must remember to flick this switch back and forth depending on what game you're playing. 6.) While I love Sports Resort and WiiFit Plus, I hate how these games force me to "stop and rest" by making my Mii... I'm glad to say it is pretty good. Not perfect but not sorry I bought it.Took about 20 minutes to put together out of the box. I'm sure other people would take far less time. I found the illustrations for assembly poor and the instructions hazy. At first it didn't seem to work no matter how hard I pedaled. Got very frustrated until I discovered that there is a sliding button on the console to select between Gamecube mode and Cyberbike mode. The seat is VERY uncomfortable. It is going to have to be replaced or padded or something. I thought the steering was a bit slow to respond. You did not have to pedal hard to get up any speed. I'm going to have to up the resistance. I also noticed occasional instances of motion sickness where I had to take my eyes away from the game to recover. All that being said, I had a blast riding through the cartoonish country roads... Read more |

This is no toy its well made and love using it. Great price I recommend it to my friends 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Absolute perfecton, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Avari Recumbent Bike (Sports) I couldn't ask for anything better. I got exactly what I wanted and at a price I hoped for. After reading all the confusing reviews on bikes I selected the Avari recumbent bike. I wanted something that would allow me to have a good work out while strengthening my legs, which would be comfortable, reasonable in price, simple without a number of unnecessary gadgets, easy to set up and delivered without damage. At a good price, this unit exceeded all expectations. Instructions were quite clear and the unit operates quite smoothly. I did have one gripe with the setup which I overcame not without some effort. However, I would overlook this in the overall picture. The tension gauge rests in a triangular, half rectangle tube that has to be screwed onto a pipe like tube called the meter post. The screw they supply is so short and it fits into such a deep crevice that I had to get my special short ratchet screwdriver to hold the screw in place while I attempted to locate the receiving hole. good deal, By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Avari Recumbent Bike (Sports) The bike is a very good deal for the money. Due to an injury I'm not able to use my eliptical which I love. I didn't want to spend much on a bike I wasn't sure I'd enjoy using. I actually like the bike! It's quiet, smooth and comfortable. The display is easy to read and my husband had no problem putting it together. It is a great addition to my fitness routine. |

About Recumbent Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out.
The term recumbent literally means "lying down." Exercising in a recumbent or reclining position allows the user to have full ergonomic back support, without causing strain on the arms, neck and shoulders, all of which can be common effects of using an upright bicycle. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

This review is from: Stamina 1350 Magnetic Resistance Recumbent Bike (Sports) I bought this bike as cheaper alternative to the much more expensive retail exercise bikes on the market. The product description and price tag for this particular bike is exactly what I was looking for. However, I am now experiencing some buyer's remorse for going so cheap on price. To elaborate, this bike when it works is great. It is comfortable, quiet, and the digital monitor is nice. However, I guess I was unlucky and got a factory dud. After just one exercise routine the digital monitor stopped working when you started/stopped pedaling. You could reset it and it still not activate once you started pedaling. At this point I almost decided to send it back, but I decided to open up the case and take a peek inside. What I found was the little magnetic pickup had moved out of position and was too far away from the magnet that's attached to the pulley. It wouldn't trigger. The sensor itself is glued to a flimsy piece of plastic covered in a protective gel and held to the... I'm really happy to have one in the house now so that I'm now having to drive to the gym and back just to use their bike. Positives: it's quiet. I can watch TV and not be too distracted. It works fine. Negatives: It was pretty difficult for my husband and I to put together. We had to bend a few pieces to actually make them fit. You get what you pay for, as it's very rudimentary, but the picture doesn't lie to you so you really can't complain. The seat and overall bike is a bit wobbly but pretty unoticeable. Other than that, it serves its purpose and I'm happy I got the bike I've been wanting and I'm not having to feel guilty about spending a ton of money. 20 of 20 people found the following review helpful Perfect Home Use Bike, Love It!, By B Holmes "BH" (Red Sox Nation) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Stamina 1350 Magnetic Resistance Recumbent Bike (Sports) I bought this bike to use in my home while watching TV. It's super quiet. It's not a sophisticated model like you use in the gym, but it sure is a great substitute if the gym scene isn't for you. I was overwhelmed when I took it out of the box to put it together...but it went together in a snap (20 min.) I really love it & use it everyday. It suits my needs perfectly for strengthening/toning after having knee surgery. I recommend this bike as the best bang for your buck! |
