This review is from: Schwinn A10, A20 and A40 Power Supply / AC Adapter (3.5" and 5.25" disks) I have the Schwinn A10 bike: I plugged it in and it works although i don't use it - i have it as a back-up plan for when my 4 - D batteries die. The cord is VERY SHORT .... maybe u need an extension cord with it, i don't know anyone that would be able to plug it in and NOT have the bike in some awkward position. like i said - it's for when i'm desperate.PROS- - it works (i have the Schwinn A10 bike) - saves you 4 D batteries CONS- - Super short cord - makes the bike have to be in an awkward position unless you use an extension cord with this cord. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful ![]() Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Schwinn A10, A20 and A40 Power Supply / AC Adapter (3.5" and 5.25" disks) I ordered the power adapter after I realized the stationary bikedid not come with one. I intend to use the bike for at least a few years, and did not want to go through a bunch of batteries. Shipping took less than a week. I guess I was more fortunate than others who had issues with the short length of the chord. My bike was already set up next to an outlet. Even in my situation, there are times I wish it was a bit longer. ![]() By Oceaneco1 "Julie" (Santa Fe, NM) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Schwinn A10, A20 and A40 Power Supply / AC Adapter (3.5" and 5.25" disks) The Power Supply for the A20 Recumbent Schwinn bike works great and saves on having to buy batteries, but, this should have been included with the bike in the first place. Why does schwinn make this an option instead of just including it and why is it so expensive? If I can avoid batteries, of course I will, but this is kinda cheap on Schwinn's behalf by not including it with the bike! |

Drive Medical Pedal Exerciser with Attractive Silver Vein Finish, Silver Vein (Knock down) Reviews
65 of 68 people found the following review helpful ![]() By Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) I was inspired to purchase a pedal exerciser because of the savings it offers from the more costly stationary bike and because it is a viable fitness option for people like me who are sedentary and obese. I have been using my pedals since they day they arrived by mail and love the fact that they come fully assembled, are cost-effective and compact enough to store without dedicated storage space. There are no excuses to everyday movement with this in your household! It is worth the investment and combined with the use of free weights, provides a full body workout experience. The only drawback is that it should not be touched-moved immediately following a workout because it does generate extreme heat and it also shifts around too much to be used on hardwood floors so it is most conducive to the carpeted areas of your home. 59 of 65 people found the following review helpful ![]() Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Drive Medical Pedal Exerciser with Attractive Silver Vein Finish, Silver Vein (Knock down) (Health and Beauty) Got the peddler yesterday and put it together and used it last evening. It's a very substantially constructed item- nothing cheezy about it. Being relatively heavy, it doesn't slide around easily when you use it.The great thing about it is that it is simple to assemble: two screws attach the 2 feet parts to the peddle mechanism and those screws have nice, large, smooth knobs that you turn to tighten down- no sharp ends or tiny screw heads requiring any tools to try to work with arthritic fingers. Also, the knob regulating peddle resistance is smooth and well-made too. This is a great feature- being able to make it harder to peddle as you get stronger (this way you can continue to get stronger). Foot peddle straps are nice and large and there's no open peddle mechanism or exposed chain to get clothing caught in- and the peddling action is very smooth. All-in-all it's a high-quality item, not some chintzy thing and it appears to be made to last... I wanted a compact exerciser that would give me a semblance of an aerobic workout--I.e. elevate my heart rate. This "stationary bike" (Drive Pedal Exerciser Stationary Bike) is anything but stationary. I had to wedge it against a table and then use a strap to try to stablize it. Instead of moving back and forth, it tilted side to side. The workout was distracting because of the instability of the device. I would not recommend it to anyone. |

Schwinn 150 Upright Exercise Bike Reviews
35 of 36 people found the following review helpful ![]() This review is from: Schwinn 150 Upright Exercise Bike (Sports) Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program ( What's this?) Using this bike for a while now, I feel comfortable giving potential buyers a fairly complete picture of what this exercise bike will, and will not, give you.As far as I am aware, there are 2 different kinds of exercise bikes--one that is upright--like this one--and another that almost makes an even plane with you seated, and the pedals out in front--the recumbent. The latter was what I used most when going to the gym. With the recumbent you get an even workout between your quads, hamstrings, and butt. All of these are worked and sore after you do a workout. This Schwinn upright is a little different. The trade-off between the recumbent bikes and this Schwinn upright is that you are getting a realistic biking experience and sacrificing a few muscle groups, which are not worked as much as when on the recumbent. Because you are upright and seated, the quads will get worked the most, hamstrings the least, and the butt moderately. To extrapolate very subjective... I was an owner of the Schwinn 140 Upright Exercise Bike, and like many others had it fail me when the pedals one day lost all tension. That bike was squeaky, the display was problematic, and it had severe longevity issues. And if you would like to hear about the ridiculous "self-repair" that Nautilus/Schwinn warranty forces upon the customer, read the many negative reviews of that bike. This new one was offered to me for free through the Amazon Vine program. Right out of the box, I noticed that the Schwinn 150 is basically the Schwinn 140 rebranded with nearly all the same components save the computer module. Even the mounts for the obsolete bottle holder are still present on the neck, as it has now been incorporated into the computer console. ASSEMBLY: Unfortunately, the very first piece to piece together, the front stabilizer, is defective. The end caps which contain the wheels (necessary to move the unit) do not have screw holes bored in them as... In reviewing this Schwinn 150 exercise bike, I am basically comparing it to a Nautilus U514 exercise bike that we purchased on Amazon just a few months ago.Even though this exercise bike is labeled a Schwinn, the inside of the box had the name Nautilus. I was encouraged by this, but it was short lived, as we learned after assembling and using this exercise bike. The Schwinn 150 Upright Exercise Bike is made for larger bodied persons, and there are some advantages that come with that feature. The seat is larger than most exercise bikes, and that's a real plus when it comes to having a comfortable ride. The bike also has larger pedals, and for me, an average sized woman, this is uncomfortable. My feet literally fall through the stirrups, so I have to wear large shoes to keep them on the pedals when riding this bike. (Yes, the straps are adjustable, but it's cheap plastic strapping that isn't going to hold up after much use). There are some nice... Read more |
